New Year's Challenge!

Happy New Year everyone!  I'm here today with a project for Queen of my Craftroom.  Our challenge was to create a "New Year" themed project.

Here's what I created...isn't she the cutest?

My card measures 5.5" x 5.5".  The base is kraft cardstock from PaperTrey Ink (my fav!).  The DP is from the "Jovial Collection" by Basic Grey.

I used a previous sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.  I ♥ this layout! :)

I just love how sweet the Pure Innocence stamps are.  This cutie is from the "Cause for Celebration" stamp set by MFT.  I colored her up with my Copics.  Here are the colors I used:
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, and R20
Hair - E25, E37, and E39

I paper-pieced her dress with the Jovial DP and colored her bow with my black atyour Spica Glitter Pen.

I also used some of my favorite MFT Die-Namics:  Simply Scallops Border and Bracket Tab.  The "Bloomers" fabric flowers are also from the Jovial Collection.

Here's a peek at the inside...

Hope you enjoyed today's project.  Wishing you a New Year filled with Love and Whimsy! HUGS ♥

Addicted to Scrapping New Year's Eve Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  The Addicted to Scrapping Design Team is hosting a New Year's Eve blog hop.  We hope our projects will inspire you to start the new year off in a creative way.

I created a set of snowman nesting boxes.

The boxes started out like this...

I picked mine up at Blue Moon Scrapbooking.  I then painted them with white acrylic paint and sprayed them with LSG Creme Brulee Cream Starburst Spray.

I created the snowman's hat first.

I used some blue ruffle trim from the Webster's Pages Trendsetter Collection and some black beads that I had in my stash.  The paper roses were created using the Rolled Rose Die-Namics by MFT.  I used black cardstock that I sprayed with LSG Scintillating Silver Glitz Spritz.  I show you exactly how I put my hat together in the video I created (the link is listed below).

I then painted the snowman's face using the end of a paintbrush to create the dots.

My snowman has a very classy scarf. ;)  I used some black scallop lace that I had in my stash. I used black felt by MFT and the Simply Scallops Border Die-Namic by MFT to create the scarf band around the middle box.  The "brooch" was created with some of the Webster's Pages trim and a black rhinestone Flower Center by Prima.

I used the Large Rolled Rose Die-Namic by MFT to create the buttons for my snowman.  I hot-glued a black bead from the trim I used on the hat as the center of my buttons.

I created a video to show you exactly how I created my snowman, click HERE.

I hope you enjoyed my project. Next up is Canica ← (Click to keep hopping along).

'Twas the Night Before Christmas Mini-Album

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house...I am running around like a crazy person. LOL.  Does anyone else feel like Christmas just appears out of the blue?  I always start planning early, but for some reason all of these last minute things just pop up and I am suddenly out of time! :)

I created a Christmas Mini-Album for I Am Roses to share with you today.  I used the "Blitzen" collection by Bo Bunny.  The mini measures 6" x 6".

I sprayed this beautiful 2" Rose with LSG Rudolph's Nose Red. Isn't it gorgeous?  The rose is flanked with a Brown Black Cherry Blossom (my all-time fav!), a Soft Green Curly RoseRed Mini RosesSmall Green Leaves, and a vintage bell.

Here are pictures of the mini-album pages...

I love how the Brown Mini Roses look like ornament toppers! :)

...and isn't Rudolph cute?

Here are links to all of the I Am Roses Products used:

Aren't they adorable?  I just love 'em! :)  They started out as 2.125" x 4.25" manila tags that I picked up at Hobby Lobby and sprayed with LSG Creme Brulee Cream.  I then used the "Clearly Sentimental About Christmas" stamp set by MFT for the sentiment.

Here are the links to the IAR flowers I used:

Altered Christmas Ornaments

Every Christmas it's always the same....I go to buy Christmas ornaments and I can't find any that match the theme of my tree.  They are usually the wrong color, wrong size, etc.  So this year, I decided I was going to create my own.  I created these adorable ornaments using some gorgeous products by I Am Roses.

I bought these birds at Target.  At $2.00 each, it was a great deal.  I love the birds since they fit into my "whimsical theme," however, I don't like the blue felt flowers.  So...I decided to remove them and add some IAR goodies.

Here's how they turned out.

I also picked up some cinnamon sticks.  I just bundled 4 together and tied it with a piece of ribbon and hot glued a gorgeous Big Red Gardenia onto the ribbon.

I picked up this picture frame at Hobby Lobby for $1.00.  I tore out a sheet of old music from a book that my Mom had on the piano when I was growing up and inked it with my TH Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I added some beautiful flowers on the side.  Isn't the green rose so pretty with Stickles on the edge of the petals.  I ♥ how easy and eye-catching that is!

Below are links to all of the IAR products I used on today's project:
White Paper Flowers (sprayed with LSG Desert Moon Cactus Gold and LSG Green with Envy Green)

Click HERE to watch a short video of my altered ornaments.  I hope everyone has a whimsical week.  The "Christmas" bug has finally arrived and I have so many other projects I am excited to share with you in the next few weeks! HUGS :)
