Mother's Day Lace Rosette

Hi everyone.  I have a project to share with you today for Creating is Fun.  I created this over-sized floral rosette using some gorgeous lace from Martha's shop.  I thought it would be super cute to embellish a gift for Mother's Day.  You could attach it to a gift bag or even to a flower pot that you've covered with fabric.  I added a pin back to mine so I could attach it to something! :)

I started out by cutting a large circle of cardboard.  I then hot-glued some 5" Purple Lace into a circle.  Next, I cut out several strips of pink lace (each measuring about 5-6" long).  I then hot-glued one end of the lace to the center of the rosette and folded the pink lace back and hot-glued again in the center, creating a loop of pink lace.  I added a touch of pearl trim loops and finished off with some I Am Roses flowers.

Creating is Fun Products Used:
Pink Lace (no longer available)

Other Products Used:
Cardboard
White Pearl Trim
White & Pink Roses from I Am Roses (R 77 - 41)
Stick Pin
Pin Back
Hot Glue

I ♥ how this turned out.  This would be a great way to use up any lace/trim scraps that you have laying around.  I hope you enjoyed today's project and don't forget to stop by the Creating is Fun shop!  Have a great week everyone. :)  HUGS ♥♥

Sweet ♥ Hanging Layout

Happy Friday!  I'm so thankful it's the weekend.  I have an adorable dimensional hanging layout to share with you for Karlas001.  I absolutely ♥ these cute pictures of this little doll.  Isn't her outfit just precious?  I was walking through JoAnn's one day and saw this adorable paper collection by MAMBI.  I knew it would match these photos perfectly.

Here's how it turned out...

♥ dimensional layouts because I can pile on as many goodies as I want.  Hehe :)
Isn't that Tear Drop Spray to die for?  I ♥ how it catches the light...so pretty!  And how sweet is that Large Wood Spool?  I just wrapped some burlap string around and hot glued it into the cluster of flowers.

I put down a layer of green Burlap Trim and then some White Embroidered Sheer Lace.  I topped it off with some pleated trim by Maya Road.  I love the different textures and colors here, such a fun effect!

I used a vintage BINGO card that I had in my stash along with a white paper doily.  I am so pleased with how this layout turned out.  I can't wait to give it as a gift to someone special, she is going to be so excited!

IARCC Handmade Flower Layout

Hi everyone!  It's time for another I Am Roses Color Challenge and you are in for a treat with this one.  You can get all of the details HERE.

Part of the Challenge was to create handmade flowers using at least 2 IAR products.  I chose to create one of my all-time favorite spring flowers, the cherry blossom.

I sprayed the Hydrangea Petals from IAR with "Salt Water Taffy" by LSG.  I used a fine-tip paintbrush to add a dot of "Ramblin' Rose Pink" by LSG to the center of each flower.  I also used some of the White Foam Stamen from IAR.  I sprayed the stamen with "Wake Me Up Before You Go Gold" by LSG.  I also added some Small Green Rose Leaves to accent my flowers.

Here's how my flowers turned out...

It's super fun to create flowers to perfectly match your project!  I incorporated my handmade flowers into a dimensional layout.  This layout features one of my favorite pictures of my Great-Grandmother.

Camera "Be You" Mini-Album

Happy Friday everyone!  My Spring Break is quickly coming to an end.... :(  I do, however, have an adorable project to share with you today for Karlas001.  I created this adorable Camera "Be You" Mini-Album for a sweet friend.  She loves to take pictures of her baby girl and updates her blog with such cute pictures.  I am always stalking her blog to see what her little dolly is up to.  My friend loves crafts, but isn't much of a "scrapbooker."  So...I thought I would take some of the photos she has taken and create a small mini-album for her.  My friend is an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G photographer and her daughter is uber cute, so I had a very hard time picking out 10 photos. Hehe :)

Here it is...

I cut up Cynthialoowhos Blingy-looking Black Mesh into strips and used it as borders throughout the mini.  ♥ that B-L-I-N-G!

I stuck one of the Clear Mini-Tulip Flowers into a crocheted flower...so sweet!

I added a touch of the Tim Holtz Film Strip Ribbon to go with the camera theme.

My friend and her family live on a farm, so I though the title of this book was so appropriate!

See what I mean...is she not an amazing photographer?  ♥ her photos!

I left blank spots on the back of each page for her to journal a bit about that particular photo.

I CANNOT wait to give this mini-album to my friend, I hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it.  I am in ♥ with the way this turned out, did I mention that already? Hehe :)

"You Rock My World" Card

Hi everyone! I'm here today to share a project with you that I created for the Color Me Copic Club DT.  This is my 1st project as part of the DT.  I created a card for my hubby using the "Chelsea" stamp from The Greeting Farm. I stamp all of images onto heavyweight cardstock. I prefer "Perfect Panels" by MFT; however, they have recently stopped carrying them. So, when I run out I will be on the hunt for a new favorite. Hehe :) I stamp my images using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Here's my finished image...

Copic Markers Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, R20
Hair - Y21, Y23, YR21, YR24
iPod & Shoes - V93, V95
Background - BG000

...and here's my finished card.

I cut the image out and matted her using my Nestabilities by Spellbinders. The card measures 5.5" x 5.5" and the paper collection is "Springtime" by Echo Park. I cut out the banner using the "First Place Award Ribbon" Die-Namic by MFT and the sentiment is from the "ALM Rock Star" stamp set by MFT. I added a touch of flowers below the sentiment.

I kept the inside simple, so I could write a message to hubbs!

You can check out a video of my card in the making HERE. I hope you enjoyed today's project and I hope the rest of your week is filled with Love & Whimsy! HUGS ♥

"Charming, Adorable and Ever So Sweet" Altered Wood Frame

Hi guys!  I have another project to share with you for Karlas001.  I altered this wood frame that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.  It turned out so cute, I just ♥ it!

It started out as a 5x7 wood frame that I painted with a coat of gesso and then some khaki acrylic paint by Americana.  I sprayed the frame with LSG "Opal Sea Oats" Starburst Spray, such gorgeous shimmer!

I used the"Lost & Found: Union Square" 6x6 Paper Pad by My Mind's Eye, so sweet and vintage looking.  I fussy-cut out some adorable embellishments from the paper collection and distressed and inked them up with TH Walnut Stain.  I stamped the chandeliers using my Versamark Stamp Pad and then embossed it with LSG "Midnight Pewter Obsidian" Moon Glow Two-Toned Embossing Powder.  The stamps are also from the "Lost & Found: Union Square" collection by MME.  Along the bottom, I layered some gorgeous trims from Karlas001. I used the Loopy Black Trim and some of the 6mm Black Pearl Trim.

♥ how this cluster came out.  I used some I Am Roses flowers and leaves and stuck a Beige Pearl Spray behind.  I also used some more of the 6mm Black Pearl Trim and created 2 loops and tucked them behind the rose.

Other products used not listed above:
White Puffy Semi Rose Bud (T25-152)

I didn't use a sketch for this card.  I just created on the fly, but I ♥ the way it turned out.  The card measures 5.5" x 5.5".  I used some old DP that I had in my stash (Green - Check!).  I sprayed the paper doilie with LSG "Edelweiss Moss Green" (Gold - Check!).  I then cut out a circle of some plaid DP and layered the sentiment inside.  I put a layer of Glossy Accents on the outside of the circle and sprinkled it with green German Glitter Glass (Glitter - Check!).
