I have been trying to find a way to organize my magnetic dies. They are super thin and I have been so afraid that they are going to get bent. I had previously stored them in a clear box and had to search and dig through my stash to find the one die I was looking for. So, I did some research on YouTube and found a solution that I thought would work for me. I got the idea from Leilani - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5UMOLYPdRc. I altered her idea a bit though, because (1) I couldn't find the magnetic sheets she used and (2) I had a ton of magnetic strips left over from a project I did in my classroom a few years ago. So, here's what I came up with.
Spellbinders Dies |
I used 12 x 12 black chipboard that I purchased from Blue Moon Scrapbooking. I cut the chipboard in half and covered the front page with DP. I used the new collection by Echo Park, For the Record. I love, love, love this collection. I decided to cut out the labels from the Spellbinders packaging, rather than create my own. The flower is by Prima and the bling is by Recollections. I bound the book with my Bind-It-All.
I also created a book for my My Favorite Things dies, which I just can't get too many of!
MFT Dies |
I used the same chipboard and the same DP as I did for the book above. The trim is from Frog Feathers on Etsy and the bling is by ZVA Creative, which I got from Stamper's Dream. I just love the "catalogue" labels that came with the paper collection. I thought they were so cute for this project. I love this storage idea. It is working so well for me. Hope you are enjoying your Sunday afternoon! Happy Scrapping. :)
I just finished my SpellBinders storage "binder" yesterday =) I plan on making a video post on Friday.
